Packaging & Instruction

Microman 2004 came in beautifully done removable blister card style packaging. The backing card had very nice picture of the toy with all the accessories on display in the blister window. As a nice touch, the blister had the "O" design (in MICROMAN logo) molded on. While the cylinder tube 2003 series was nice and compact, the new blister was definitely more attractive looking.

Ryan had superb reflex and hand eyes coordination. He equip with the high performance Micro-Engine cycle that can travel at the speed in excess of 500km/hour.

Microman New Stand

Microman 2004 came with new style figure stand. The stand features Microman "Da Vinci" style logo emboss on clear plastic with two styles of pegs  - one for the newer Microman figures and one for the vintage figures with 5mm port.

Microman MF2-04 Automaster Ryan was the fourth and last member of the Master Force series. Ryan was the ground surface expert of the team. (Master Force theme followed the four method of travel - air, underground, water and surface). Microman Ryan shared the same new Microman core body with the other figures in the series (The same body debuted with last year Micro Force and Tatsunoko Fight! Microman 2003 line). He had clear green body with white paint highlight. Clear green was another classic Microman color scheme dated back to the first Titan series and look great on the new Micro Force body. Ryan face was concealed behind a face mask that cover most of his face. His chest had black emblem that resemble his armor design.

Automaster Ryan armor was a futuristic bike with beautiful chrome finished and clear green wheels. The bike transform into armor for Ryan when not in vehicle mode. His armor probably had the coolest alternate mode of the four Master Force design. The bike while a little small was a very welcome addition to the new 2004 Microman series. In armor mode, the cycle split in halves and formed the leg armor for Ryan while the remaining parts formed his chest armor. The design was nicely done though due to the used of PVC part there was some slight fit problem in the armor mode on the this particular sample. The clear green part that form front chest did not align properly with the chrome parts, however, the armor do fit perfectly and snugly and there was no problem with parts falling off or loose fitting section.  As with other Microman 2004 figures, Automaster Ryan had several small delicate parts so the toy was clearly not meant for young children. In vehicle mode, the armor form a small compact but functional light cycle-like design. Bike and cycle toys had long been part of Microman line both old and new so Ryan motorcycle design fit perfectly into the new line.

Equipment Alternate Mode

Microman Automaster Ryan was probably the "coolest" looking of the four Microman Master Force figures and one with the best armor accessory. Ryan had very nice clear green and white color scheme (one of my favorite Microman color scheme).  The clear green was lighter and "brighter" than the early prototype pictures. Ryan's armor had small delicate parts, and some fit problem, but overall the design was very well done with most of his parts fit securely on his body and the motorcycle form was an excellent alternate mode for the figure.
