MICROMAN MICRO-ACTION SERIES

Micro Action Series is essentially a licensed character using Microman Full Action Body format with no real tie to regular Microman line. (Unlike Kiguru and Material Force series which are somewhat part of the main line). Micro Action series have been very popular with action-figures collectors who otherwise do not collect Microman series. The characters for Action Series have been very diverse from Devilman to Superman Returns and with nice good mix of live-action, comic and anime characters. In 2006, Takara start several new sub-series for Micro Action line for the Votoms licensed, including DMZ (stands for Dual Model Zwie, Dual Model was the original Takara Votoms action-figures line) series and MAP (Micro Action Plus), a play-set series.

MK SERIES

In late 2006, Takara released Micro-Action figures from the popular Kinnikuman series under new "MK" series. Kinnikuman (which translated as Muscleman) was a manga series from early 1980's which began as parody of Ultraman mix in with wrestling theme. The story was immensely popular and like most popular manga in the 80's, Kinnikuman got the anime treatment. In 1996, sequel to Kinnikuman called Kinnikuman 2 was released as serial manga and its too became anime series in 2002. Kinnikuman 2 was translated and aired in the US as "Ultimate Muscle".  The new MK Series are very well made, the figures have nice joints with excellent sculpt and paint jobs. Unfortunately because of the subject matter, the MK series will probably mostly appeal to fans of the Kinnikuman series.

MICRO WRESTLING BODY

MK series introduces yet another new Micro body called the "Microman Wrestling Body". This new body is essentially an improve version of the "Massive Body" with more proportional body design.  The body boosts 32 points of articulations and comes with interchangeable hands.

SUGURU - KINNIKUMAN

The first figure in the series is MK-01 Kinnikuman (whose real name is Suguru). He is the main protagonist of the series. Since Kinnikuman was created as parody of Ultraman, Suguru head feature a prominent Ultraman style horn. Kinnikuman uses the new "Microman Wrestling Body".

RAMENMAN

The second figure in the first series is MK-02 Ramenman. Ramenman used the old "Microman Full Action Body" with modified lower half. His design is parody of Chinese martial artist.

WARSMAN

The third figure in the first series is MK-03 Warsman. Like Kinnikuman, Warsman used the new "Wrestling Body" type with with modified lower legs and slightly retool chest. He also comes with a set of claw bracers.

The new wrestling body comes with interchangeable hands set.

The set includes the new display stand with rod for in the air pose.
