MASKED RIDER AGITO SHINING FORM

Kamen Rider Shining Form was originally released by Bandai (Japan) with the Burning Form Set. When Bandai-Asia re-released Souchaku-Henshin Riders Series for Hong Kong market, they split up most of the Japan set into single unit and the Shining Form and Burning Form of Agito was split into two set. Bandai sold Shining Armor as GD-40 set and the Burning armor was sold as separate set. The nice thing about splitting these sets up was the lower cost for individual set and the additional core figure that came with each individual set allowed for displaying both Forms together. The Shining Form of Agito appeared later toward the end of the series and was the most powerful from of Agito. The Burning Form was PVC armor that fit over the Shining armor, the reason for this was because the Shining Form emerged from the Burning Form.

Shining / Burning Form was one of the more elaborate mode of Agito whereby the armor designs changed considerably from the basic Ground Mode. (His initial mode) Overall, the toy was very nice and gave a good representation of Agito in Shining Mode. Like the Burning Set, the paint job was nicely done and the figure looks great on display. Shining Form Set came with die-cast wrist armors, die-cast chest armor, and die-cast belt. Hong Kong Shining Set included the "Twin Mode" version of Shining Calibur weapon.

Agito Shining Form Set

Bandai-Asia released Agito Shining Form as single set instead of combining with the Burning Form. The set came with its own core body.

GD-40 Agito Set No.5

Shining Form was originally released as a set with Burning Form armor.

Naked Mode

Since Bandai-Asia split the Shining / Burning Set as two separate set, the Burning set came with human core body. Like other SH Riders figures, the body looks out of proportion and was solely intended for display with the "cloth" (Rider's Armor) on. The core body was similar style body used since the original Saint Seiya Cloth line which made it a little dated by today standard. However, this was one of the aspect that drawn me to this line. The ability to "henshin" into the Rider form made these SH figures a lot like small version of Henshin Cyborg and RAH costume hero.

Weapon Accessories

Burning Form Agito came with "Twin Mode" of Shining Calibur. (Shining Calibur split into two swords)

Agito Burning Form

Since Bandai-Asia split the original release of GD-40 Agito Shining Set into two separated set Shining Set and Burning Set. The Burning Set came with PVC armor that fit over the Shining armor to simulate the fact that Shining Form emerged from the Burning Form.
