PROWL

Prowl came in flap window "Collection Series" style box. The The front featured artwork of Megatron by Dreamwave Studio. Collection 02 Prowl along with 01 Prowl were debut sets for the new T/F Collection line.

Collection 2 Prowl

Transformers Prowl was also one of the ten Diaclone Car Robot toys that were repackaged and sold as the first series Transformers by Hasbro (and later Takara). Prowl was a Highway Patrol Fairlady Z and as such shared basic body design as Smokescreen and Streak (Bluestreak). Prowl belong to the Autobot (Cybertron) faction.  Prowl was reissued in July 2002 as the debut toy in the new T/F Collection series. Prowl came with chrome laser gun and a pair of gray missile launchers that mount on to his head.

Commemorative Series

The toy was reissued by Hasbro in May 2003 as part of Commemorative Series 4. Hasbro had followed Takara package design change and released Prowl in flap window box. Series 4 included reissued Prowl, Red Alert and Skywarp.

US version of Prowl had several modifications were made to keep the toy conformed to US safety standards such as elongated missiles and non-firing launcher with the used of flexible black plastics for gun and missiles.
