Ver.Ka Wing Gundam still featured the "jewel" crystal in the chest but most of the designs had completely been "re-imagined" by Katoki.

Wing Gundam (Early Type) was the sixth figure in the FIX Figuration Series and the first Gundam design to come from popular Gundam W series.   FIX Wing Gundam was a "redesign" of the original Wing Gundam by Okawara.  Katoki worked on the Endless Waltz OVA and redesigned all the Gundam mecha from the Wing TV series to give them more stylize looks.  However, Endless Waltz only featured the second "upgraded" versions of these Gundams and not their original early forms but Katoki did some artworks that featured the "Ver.Ka" of these Early Type Gundams from the Wing series.  Katoki version of Wing Gundam combined the look of his Wing Zero from Endless Waltz with the original Wing Gundam by Okawara.  The wing sections had been completely revamp and gone were those bulky booster pack to be replaced with beautiful mechanical wing pack.  Ver.Ka Wing Gundam figure also came with added twist and can transform into "Bird Mode".

 WING WAS ONE OF THE FIVE GUNDAMS SEND BY THE COLONIES TO EARTH IN OPERATION METEOR.  WING GUNDAM WAS DESIGNED BY DOCTOR J AND WAS THE MOST VERSATILE OF THE FIVE GUNDAMS.  ITS WEAPONS INCLUDED THE HIGH POWER BUSTER RIFLE, BEAM SABERS, HEAD MOUNT VULCAN AND SHOULDER MOUNT MACHINE CANNON. WING GUNDAM WAS PILOTED BY HEERO YUY, THE MAIN PROTAGONIST OF "GUNDAM W" SERIES.
