Takara released several exclusives and limited edition toys for the Magne Power series. Premiums and exclusives had become important part of most toys line. Company used exclusives to increase excitement for the line and to help created buzz with artificial rarity of certain items.  Takara was one of the more notorious companies when it came to the issue of releasing limited edition and promotional items. There were three basic sub-categories for the Magne Power premiums as compiled in the Official Magne Power Microman Guide Book. The first was promotional gifts premiums, these were gifts given out at toys show and special events.  Second was prize premiums.  These were special editions gave out as either arcade machine prize, or lucky draw contest prize.  The third was simply a limited edition that sold as either store exclusives or as mail-away special.
