Takara released special "Glitter Mode" versions of their Microman Command M150, M160, M170 & M180 as eS!Toys (Japan on-line store) exclusives.  The "0" Commands were now designated by Takara as the "Command Leaders".  The figures were sold as two separate set - A & B.  Set A included the Glitter Mode M150 Antonio & M160 Egypton and Set B included Glitter Mode M170 Takeru & M180 Maria.  The "Glitter Mode" was special metallic plated process with textures added to the surface instead of the usual smooth chrome plated.   The textures added an interesting effect to these Microman Commands, especially to their capsules which now appeared almost as if they were cast in metal.  (Beside these Command Leaders, Takara also released Glitter Mode versions of Micro Knights as Toys R Us Exclusive).

eS!Toys Exclusive

Microman Command Leaders came packaged in similar style box as the Millennium Microman "Takeru & Maria" set but with eS! toys logo and gray instead of black color on the boxsides.

M170 Takeru - expert in space physics

M180 Maria - expert healer

Command Leaders Story

In the year 2000, while all seem peaceful, suddenly an incident occurs.  Cosmo Satan Arden A356 took control of the crystal satellite that orbit earth and collect cosmic energy.  A356 redirected the  cosmic ray to the Acroyear base. Arden Corp. then amass themselves at Microman Base at Mt. Fuji and start to destroy several facility.  Microman spring into action at their head quarter and call M150 Antonio - great authority in Cosmic Energy and M160 Egypton to recapture the crystal satellite.   Arden however could not fully control the crystal satellite path and it's start to direct the ray to other section of Earth.   The Cosmic Energy hit the ancient ruin of Japan & Goddess of Freedom from Paris (Statue Liberty) and suddenly two light streak up into the sky and circle the crystal satellite.  They announce "we came here to help you".  Together the four Microman Commands recapture the crystal body and stop the Arden's plan

Glitter Mode M170 Takeru had metallic black body with textures and instead of the glow in the dark chest, the figure had smooth silver chrome part instead.  The figure came with matching "glitter" metallic black capsule, a black stand and a set of gold plated "Rocket Wings" and "Cutter Bracelets".  The pelvic and shins were done in normal white plastics.

Glitter Mode M180 Maria had metallic silver body with textures. The figure came with matching "glitter" metallic silver capsule, a black figure stand and a pair of gold plated Lady Command "Angelic Wings". The skirt, pelvic and shins were done in normal black plastics.

M170 & M180 had been released in their "normal" mode as e-Hobby Shop exclusive. The "glitter mode" versions, while they were very nice addition to the Command 3 and Lady Command line-up, may seem a little bit of a redundancy especially in the avalanche of variations released by Takara.
